Sisyphus Smiles, September-December 2020. The End Project Space, Atlanta, GA. Curated by Craig Drennen.

Sisyphus Smiles is Emily Tomlinson's first solo show in Atlanta, consisting of a site-specific performance taking place between September and December 2020 -- culminating in a site-specific installation wherein every available square inch of the gallery space was painstakingly covered in minute pencil markings. Following the closing ceremony of the show, the long-term performance culminated in its final act as Emily painted over the entirety of the gallery, entombing countless hours and millions of pencil marks underneath flat white paint.

Collected here are documentation excerpts taken during the time in which the performance was ongoing.
